Why re-invent the wheel when you can learn from others.

PTP has selected a sample of its published articles to share with you. They have been chosen to give readers a broad view of how successful schools can be at accessing additional funds when they ‘get the product right’

Two of the articles tell the story of a school in England and an Early Years Centre in Wales that have turned dreams into reality by creating and implementing an innovative and determined funding strategy.

Two of the articles focus on some f the ‘must do’ rules that will lead to an improved fundraising success rate. They develop the idea that bid submissions about one group of young people in one school are unlikely to be as successful as joint bids that meet a community learning need.

Working with others really makes a difference – learn how to develop an innovative and relevant Community Development Plan/Audit as part of an application to the Specialist Schools and Acadamies Trust. Lots of case study evidence to illustrate the ‘how’ (First published in Technology Colleges Trust News Issue 22)

Getting the product right – read this ‘fantastic’ story of a schools journey to achieve sustainable funding from one of Britain’s leading communication companies. (First published in Funding for Schools Issue 32)

Accessing funds for primary schools – this is a must read for Primary personnel (usually the Head!) who have the responsibility to raise additional funds for their school. It represents Bob Jennings’ ‘top ten tips’ that will move you closer to writing successful bids. These tried and tested ‘top tips’ are relevant to all phases. (First published in Funding Focus)

Conservation in the community – fundraisers come in all shapes and sizes and can be found in the most unlikely places. Read the amazing account of the achievements of an Early Years Centre located in a remote ex-mining village in the Rhondda Valley. This is Susan and Cherry’s story. (First published in Funding for Schools issue 49)
